History and Tea

My friend Amanda decided to host a historical tea party.  Each guest dressed up as a character from history and gave a brief speech about what their character is remembered for.

Amanda and her daughter dressed up as Helen Keller and Laura Ingalls Wilder.

"Laura" and "Jack"

A delightful afternoon feast with friends.

Alathia made her own costume by hand.  She was Sacajawea and Katrielle was a little pilgrim girl whom I, Priscilla Mullins, was caring for on the Mayflower.

Katri's best friend Abigail was Rose Wilder.

I didn't want to post pictures of the other ladies without their permission, but we also had Calamity Jane, Annie Oakley, Abigail Adams, an Asian princess, Shirley Temple, Mary Poppins, and Sandra Day O'Connor present at the party.  It was a fun and simple way to make history come alive for our girls!
